Football Finance expert Matt Scott was on talkSPORT today to talk about the club’s new investors Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens.

He explained that the wealth of the two men means the club now has the country’s “third richest owners.”

Fans on Twitter are pretty optimistic about the future, but they are still wary following past experiences:

Verdict:

Time will tell on this one. Having a number of investors is no doubt a good thing. Sawiris is estimated to be worth £5.2billion by Forbes while Edens is said to have a fortune of £1.9billion.

With Xia now a minority shareholder, it will be very interesting to see how the dynamic between the three men play out in the coming months and years.
