Arsenal assistant manager Steve Bould could join Thierry Henry at Villa if the Gunners legend is appointed to replace Steve Bruce, according to journalist Alex Nixon (via the Birmingham Mail).
The former centre-half has remained at the Emirates Stadium despite Arsene Wenger being replaced as manager by Unai Emery. However, Henry’s appointment as our new boss could see him call on a former team-mate to help him out.
Fans on Twitter were not particularly enthusiastic about us appointing Bould:
Noooooo! Bould is an imposter and been stealing a wage for years

Keep them in the wings. Bruce is the man.

Good news im sure the young players will be looking forward to it and we might now try and win a game by playing attacking football

Verdict:
A lot of speculation, but not a lot of concrete information at the moment. They say there’s no smoke without fire so I’m inclined to believe that Henry is being lined up by the new owners as Bruce’s replacement.
In terms of bringing in Bould, it would seem a sensible choice. A defensive minded coach with years of experience as an assistant would certainly compliment the Frenchman’s flair and comparative lack of coaching expertise as a number one.
