With Aston Villa set for at least one more season in the second tier of English football following defeat to Fulham in the Play-Off Final last weekend, plenty of fans are discussing the fallout we will now have to deal with. Both in terms of the makeup of the squad for 2018/19 and also the potential financial ramifications with Financial Fair Play biting at our heels.
Devastated as much as you guys are. We live and we learn. #AVFC ❤️💙⚽️ pic.twitter.com/KozlHYfqtj

With fans waiting for some clarity on things and not just quick changes we might see on a money front, there’s also the future of Steve Bruce to be confirmed with fans split in some quarters. One piece of speculation, in particular, has not gone over well with the faithful though.
With Jack Grealish easily being one of our top saleable assets, given his turn in form having returned from injury to good effect – his stock certainly didn’t take a beating last Saturday as he largely single-handedly drove us towards an equaliser in the second half of the game.
Responses to his own post-game tweet speak for themselves – the vast majority of the faithful are simply asking for one more year – and for the club not to entertain bids if he’s happy to stay.
Stick by us, and it'll payoff, for the club, and yourself.

If we’d had you from August we’d be up. Stick with us mate and lead us back up.

I’d ideally like to keep hold of most of the squad, but Bruce has to make Jack his first priority… I do hope @JackGrealish1 love for Villa will keep him at our club UTV

If you were fit from day 1, we would have gone up automatically. We can do it next year, if you stay.

So impressed with you Jack. You were the only one who seemed to understand the importance of this game. Hopefully you will stick around and lead us to promotion next season! #avfc

You've been amazing since coming back from injury, you have given us Villa fans a hero. Sadly I feel that you can't stay with us and advance your career, you're better than the championship. As a Villa fan I hope you stay but whatever happens you're a Villa legend to me. #AVFC
