Jack Grealish took to Twitter yesterday morning to express his disappointment at the club not securing promotion to the Premier League.
Our no.10 was a shining light in the 1-0 defeat to Fulham, but he said all the players were feeling as “devastated” as the fans are:
Devastated as much as you guys are. We live and we learn. #AVFC ❤️💙⚽️ pic.twitter.com/KozlHYfqtj

On Twitter, many supporters were imploring for the 22-year-old to stay at Villa Park:
Stick by us, and it'll payoff, for the club, and yourself.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d love @JackGrealish1 to come out and commit his future to Villa. But you couldn’t blame him if he decided to move on… UTV #stayJack

I’d ideally like to keep hold of most of the squad, but Bruce has to make Jack his first priority… I do hope @JackGrealish1 love for Villa will keep him at our club UTV

Verdict:
Pressures of Financial Fair Play mean the club will have to make some very tough decisions on the playing squad this summer. We may have to sell at least one prized asset, and with Jack being the most valuable, the Birmingham Mail suggest that the midfielder could depart.
Let’s pray it doesn’t come to that, but we should be in no doubt that this squad will be broken up over the next few months. Loan players Lewis Grabban, Robert Snodgrass, Sam Johnstone and Josh Onomah will return to their parent clubs, while the likes of John Terry and Alan Hutton could leave when their contracts expire.
