Bit quiet on the transfer front today.
In fact, it is nearly 2 days since we`ve made a signging, bit of a disgrace really isn`t it?! Very slack only to have five so far!!!
Tony Stenson at www.dailystarsunday.co.uk say that Spurs will offer £20million for Christian Benteke.
Sorry, I am trying to keep a straight face on this one!
Previous links said that they would offer Jermain Defoe as part of the deal but apparently not now, apparently now they would like to give us Emmanuel Adebayor as part of the deal.

The paper rightly says that after June 30th players contracts end, or go into their last season etc, so the big spending and more offers usually start. But for this one, surely the Club has to say £30m or over and only if they can`t persuade him his future, or at least next season (because I think he is going to be one of those journeymen on current form!) lay with us.
They quote a ‘respected source` … but obviously don`t name him. So this ‘source` says Benteke is one of the targets.
“There`s been talk of Defoe going but why would a club sell a player who can guarantee 15 goals in a season?”
The Mirror are linking Stephen Ireland to Stoke to team back up with Mark Hughes. Makes sense, as we aren`t going to use him, I hope it happens, clear his wages off our books and hopefully he can re-find some semblance of a career.
