Left back Aly Cissokho has now completed his permanent switch to Turkish side Yeni Malatyaspor.
The 29 year old has long been in discussions with the club with him not featuring in manager Steve Bruce’s plans and on Wednesday the Birmingham Mail were reporting that the deal had now been done.
They report Villa will receive in the region of £1.3million from the Turkish Super League newcomers and he has agreed a two year deal with them.
Obviously from our point of view that’s not a bad transfer fee either given the reported £3million we paid for him as I doubt few expected that and it is Yeni Malatyaspor’s biggest ever deal.
During his time at the club Cissokho made 58 appearances in total for us.
