Former Hibernian midfielder John McGinn has been speaking about a variety of topics this week and the subjects ranged from his bizarre FIFA likeness, his goal pearl of a strike against Sheffield Wednesday, down to what it was like taking over Robert Snodgrass’s locker at the club.

The interview was with the Official Site and you can read the full questions and his answers by clicking the link as I don’t intend to repeat it all.

Obviously, the FIFA likeness was one thing that stood out for me, mainly because it made me giggle when it first started doing the rounds.

“I think it’s been like that for a few years! I’m the only one who’d picked up on it before. I think they’ve just carried it on and they seem to have put a wee bit more timber on. It was a good laugh when it got picked up across social media.”

I’m sorry I had to use it again!

With thoughts mixed on Alan Hutton and he certainly featured in the criticism following the Norwich loss, McGinn spoke about how he’d impressed him since he had been at the club.

“I’ve got to go for the Scottish Cafu – Alan Hutton, which is amazing considering he’s a former Rangers player and I’m a Celtic fan. Now he’s my team-mate, I’ve got to give him a bit of credit. He’s really dependable – a top player and a top guy.”

There was also a crack about his growing relationship with Jack Grealish.

“There are no words to really describe it! He makes me order his breakfast every morning and he videos me every part of the day because I think he finds the shape and size of my head very funny. I find the shape and style of his hair very funny. It goes quite well!”

The rest of the interview is equally as fluffy, but Stan Petrov features briefly, as does Dean Smith so I’m sure plenty will find it of interest.
