The draw for the third round of the FA Cup took place last night and Aston Villa have been given a rather uninspiring home tie against Swansea City.

With seven FA Cup wins under our belts it would be nice to eventually add another one, but most fans will argue we have bigger fish to fry in 2018/19 but the magic of the cup continues to excite plenty.
The game is yet to be fixed in the calendar but will take place over the weekend of January 4-7 apparently.
Responding to the tie on social media, Aston Villa fans who took the time to react weren’t exactly that excited about the affair.
We could’ve got Wolves, we could have got Liverpool, instead we got blooming Swansea pic.twitter.com/FzcAkgn179

Am I the only one who would have liked a good PL side just to see how we would do?

Making their own trip to our social media feeds, it didn’t seem that Swansea City fans were that excited either, and a few seemed happy to give us the win now and save 90 minutes of effort as they expected former loanee, Tammy Abraham, to annihilate them.
Congratulations on your 3rd round win x

May as well give it to them now , Tammy is probably going to score a hat-trick against us
