Fallen Giants Clash On Friday Evening

|

2) Keep a clean sheet

It sounds pretty obvious – and it is – but keeping a clean sheet will normally guarantee us a win. We rarely draw 0-0 (five all season) because we create chances, and we have the firepower to convert them. We are not so good at chasing games. Leeds are going nowhere fast and ship goals for fun. They score a few as well, but by and large, the goal difference is negative.

They are also in atrocious form – they’ve only won two of 18 since the start of January, losing 10. Not pretty. We have absolutely no reason to fear them and as long as we keep them out, we will win this match.

3) Memorable match

Aston Villa 3 Leeds United 0 – Coca Cola Cup Final 1996.

THAT goal from Savo. Tayls and Yorkie. Sir Brian. Our last trophy. It’s been too long.
