The Word On The Tweet

Four Words That Will Be Music To The Ears Of Villa Fans After Weekend’s Excitement

|

Sunday’s trip to Elland Road to face fellow Play-Off promotion hopefuls Leeds United certainly turned into a lively affair for Aston Villa.

Poor refereeing, a failure to put the ball out as expected, a goal with members of both teams having already stopped playing, some serious handbags and a red card. Oh and an instruction from their manager to let us equalise.

The game had a bit of everything and key to our performance was another colossal display from on loan Bournemouth centre-half Tyrone Mings.

The 26-year-old defender has quickly been taken into the hearts of the faithful given his performances and he’s equally adept at impressing people on social media as he interacts with the fans, and as he has a tendency to do, he was back on Twitter post-game with his own summation of the game.

Fans might not like the ‘we go again’ as it brings back memories of darker times at the club but if you click on the Tweet, Mings managed to delight fans, whilst also simultaneously infuriating our opposite numbers from Leeds.

The spirit in the group is world’s apart now really and that can only stand us in good stead for the future – now get that contract sorted.
