Brett Holman has said he can’t wait to show the fans what he can do after pulling our new shirt for the first time at the kit launch.
Speaking to the Official Site after the days work had been done, our new Australia utility attacker said he was looking forward to impressing our new boss, and the fans:
‘It’s a good feeling to put on that Villa shirt for the first time, I’m excited to be here. I am so happy, it’s a dream come true to be a Premier League player. To have that opportunity at a club with the history and tradition of Villa is fantstic. I can’t wait to get started, there are big names here and I am more than aware of the quality players at Villa. The first time stepping out at Villa Park will be a big moment, I think I can contribute a lot to the team, I want to show what I’m worth.’
It does look like we have quite a tasty player on our hands here, given what we’ve heard about his performances for Australia, so it’s quite ironic that Holman was a McLeish pick, as history may record it as the single best thing he did at the club inspite of everything else that went wrong.
Let’s hope he hits the ground running!
