Mat Kendrick at the Birmingham Mail reports the departure of Aston Villa manager Gerard Houllier.
Reports are yet to be confirmed by the club but Mat says that due to Houllier’s well documented health issues, the board and manager have decided that he should vacate his position with immediate effect.
The report also states that the French manager is just one year into a three year deal thought to be worth £8million and a severance package is being discussed.
Sky Sports however report that the club describe reports as ‘premature’.
