After a hugely successful loan spell in the 2018/19 Championship campaign at Aston Villa, on loan Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham now returns to Stamford Bridge and entirely as expected, he’s claimed in a recent interview that he’s looking to have a ‘breakthrough’ campaign with his parent club in 2019/20.

With plenty of fans delighted with his goal return last season as he found the back of the net 26 times for us as we took the Wembley Play-Off route back to the Premier League, lots of fans would welcome him back next year if the price was right, but there’s no point in hiding that he needs to develop his overall game even if finishing comes naturally.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the 21-year-old still wouldn’t rule out a potential return to Villa Park though if he wasn’t going to get his shot at the club.

“You can never say never. Chelsea is obviously the club that I have been at since a young so the aim is to try and breakthrough there. Like I say, you can never say never. We’ll see how things look.”

We’ll simply see what the future holds.
