Aston Villa fans who pay more attention to our reserve and youth squads have long had high hopes for young right back Kaine Kessler-Hayden.
The 19-year-old headed out on loan at the start of the 2021/22 season for his first spell away from the club and he’s settled in well at League Two side Swindon Town. Having secured them a penalty in his debut, he now has 13 appearances to his name in total and in Saturday’s FA Cup clash with Walsall, Hayden opened his career goalscoring account by grabbing their winner in a 2-1 victory over Walsall.

Not a bad finish at all and he was clearly aware of the potential opportunity opening up for the goal when you watch his movement in the build up. By all accounts, he’s doing really well at The County Ground and there’s no reason to think he won’t continue to get great game time out with them, and then we can bring him back over the summer and see what new gaffer Steven Gerrard thinks of his development, as it won’t do anyone any harm for Matty Cash to have some proper competition.
Can't wait to see you in villa 1st team next season mate top player 🔝💯
