Luke Moore Hunky-Dory?

Luke Moore’s agent says the player is happy but he does want to talk over O’Learys future plans for the striker.

We reported last week that Fulham were interested in signing Moore, a claim that was denied by the player who said as far as he was concerned he would be a Villa player next season. However it seems the 20-year-olds agent wants to thrash out the future plans for the striker after he was dropped for the last six games of the season.

Steve Kutner said ‘I have spoken with Luke and he is very happy. I have not yet spoken to David but will do so after the World Cup to see what his plans for Luke are. If those plans are the same as Luke’s then everything will be hunky-dory.’

Did he really go all David Bowie and say ‘hunky-dory’?

It must have puzzled Moore to be our joint Premiership top scorer (8 goals along with Baros) only to find himself frozen out at the end of the season but there can surely be no guarantees in football?

Moore is under contract until 2008 having signed last summer after being courted by Scottish giants Rangers as well as London minnows Fulham.
