Having read with interest many different points of view about Villa. I feel we are not in as bad a shape as many suggest.

I know we have the worst Manager in Europe (not too sure about the rest of the World) and a Chairman well past his sell by date. Leaving all that aside we have a team to build on with many seemingly good players coming through the youth system. So it may not be all doom and gloom.

Keeping our best players, using our fringe players and adding some players with passion (they do not need to be world beaters) who just have good old fashioned drive and steel.

Then hopefully we can stay in the top flight, DD cannot last for ever, O’Leary will be found out by those who count and not just the fans and then (and only) then will be get back to where we belong.

  • I think your right Villain.. If we can get a suitable amount of cash for Barry, lets say, and use that to throw silly money at a quality balling winning and creative midfielder who can play alongside Steven Davis. (And I mean REALLY silly money) we woul

  • Yes but realistically we are never going to get 10m for Gareth Barry. Selling both Baros and Barry would bring in about 12m combined at best. I’d love to think we’d get in excess of that amount, but I just cant see it. If it comes down to having to sell t

  • When you see Everton buying Lescott and Johnson and the likes of Wigan bidding for Huth it shows how low we’ve got that our targets dont want to come even if we did have the money to buy them.(Beattie)We need a ballsy centre forward to play WITH Baros nev

  • Glensider, if we only got £12 million combined for Barry and Barros, there is no way we should sell, but if Baros has a good WC (and I suspect he will) we should get a combined fee of at least £15 million and maybe more. I know you’re not going to get wo
