Aston Villa Academy graduate Rushian Hepburn-Murphy made the loan switch out to League Two side Cambridge United during the January transfer window as he teamed up with former assistant gaffer Colin Calderwood at the Abbey Stadium.
Later in the month he was joined by Under 23 colleague Jake Doyle-Hayes and to date, RHM has five starting appearances to his name, with three further showings from the substitutes bench. Last weekend was a good one for him as he began to slowly back up the early promise and potential as the 20-year-old scored his first professional goal to help them to a 2-0 victory over Grimsby Town.
Massive win today! Off the mark also⚡️ #Camutd

The youngster himself took to social media to celebrate his strike and plenty of Cambridge fans feel he’s now finding his feet properly with them after a slow start as he adjusts to life at that level.

Hopefully, it’ll be a case of onwards and upwards for him now and it’ll be the first goal of many before the end of the current campaign.
