Manager Tim Sherwood’s FA Cup Final press conference has now taken place and first up, we have an injury update ahead of the game against Arsenal.
With news the other day that Shay Given missed out against Burnley owing to a groin injury, he seems to be have done well since then in terms of his recovery as Sherwood was slightly more upbeat about his possible return.
The gaffer explained that Given had now returned to training at Bodymoor Heath today, and he’d also been able to welcome back Kieran Richardson to the pitch with him missing the Southampton and Burnley games with a calf problem.
The return of both of them is at least now ‘a possibility’ in his mind.
There are no other updates on other players so presumably Nathan Baker came through the Burnley match well following his knee injury and we haven’t picked up any fresh concerns.
