Pre-Season Home Game v Fiorentina Announced

Villa have announced we’ll be playing a super pre-season game at home again this summer, this time we’ll take on Italian club Fiorentina, having faced Inter Milan in 2007.

This match kicks off at 3pm on Saturday August 8.

Martin O’Neill told the official site: ‘To follow up our Peace Cup participation with a home game against real quality European opposition in Fiorentina is fantastic and ideal preparation for the start of the season. If it’s half as good as the match against Inter Milan two seasons ago, it will be terrific.’

Fiorentina coach Prandelli said: ‘We are extremely honoured to be playing against such a prestigious English club. It is a privilege for us to come to England and play a friendly match at Villa Park in preparation for the play-offs of the Champions League.’

All supporters will receive PAPER TICKETS for this fixture – no season card will be activated.
