Burnley are “ready to offer £6m” to sign Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan, according to the Daily Telegraph.

The Sun reported back in March that we had been monitoring the defender with scout Tony Coton having watched the 24-year-old in action.

However, they said a move for the full-back would only be made if we are promoted back to the Premier League this season.

Sean Dyche’s side are believed to be keen to beat their rivals to the punch, as they look to strengthen their squad for the Europa League next campaign.

The left-back position would no doubt be a priority in the summer for us, with Neil Taylor the only recognised left-sided defender in the squad, and Alan Hutton expected to leave at the end of his contract.

Bryan has performed well for the Robins this season, and Steve Bruce maybe hoping that he will still be available if promotion is secured through the playoffs.
