Rushian Hepburn-Murphy has been impressing fans with his performances for the under 23s. He scored a fantastic goal as the youth team made it to the final of the Premier League 2 Playoffs.
The 4-3 win over Reading sets up a date with Brighton in the final to see who will be promoted to Division One.
Some fans on Twitter have been advocating for the 19-year-old to play a part of the final regular season game against Millwall on Sunday.
Rush is our “ new” Gabby, only 100% better.

Me and the old man fancied a change after work so went to watch the U23s. What a game. 4-3, action packed and Hepburn-Murphy was on fire. Definitely got talent the kid, I’d give him a run out Sunday #AVFC

Absolutely sensational from RHM. @JamiesonHodgson has been banging the drum for him for months. What a weapon to have from the bench for the playoffs. #avfc https://t.co/YquVdPLeK0

Verdict:
Hepburn-Murphy is due to play for the Under 23s on Friday against Swansea in the Premier League Cup, and it will be interesting if he’s selected for the match.
If he does start, he is unlikely to play at the Den as there is just 48 hours between the two fixtures.
The teenager could play a part in the playoffs though. The manager has played him five times in all competitions this season, but my feeling is he will stick with more senior players for both legs of the semi-final.
