Aston Villa’s away trip to Deepdale to face Preston North End is the latest game to be moved following the announcement of the fixtures for 2017/18.
With games against Birmingham City, Brentford and Hull City all suffering changes recently, Preston becomes the latest one added to the mix.
Having been originally set for Tuesday October 31, the game has been moved back to Wednesday November 1, carrying a 7.45pm kick off and the switch has been at our request – accepted by Preston – because of the game against Blues at St Andrew’s moving from Saturday October 28 to Sunday October 29, so we continue to have that extra day to recover.
What fans will feel about that though is an entirely different matter.
