Sheffield Utd After Villa Midfielder

There are strong rumours that Sheffield United are more than a little bit interested in Aston Villa’s longest serving player.

A reliable source told me that Premiership new boys Sheffield United are looking to firm up their interest in Lee Hendrie and that Lee would be interested in the move in order to get regular first team football.

Hendrie dropped down the pecking order last season with O’Leary and has often been played out on the left when his best position is central or just in front of the two strikers. He stated several times that at his age he needs to be playing regularly and that he might need to move on in order to do that.
