The Daily Mail are reporting that we have now entered the chase for Barcelona winger Adama Traore.
The 19 year old has purportedly long been linked with a move to Liverpool, but they haven’t chased the Barcelona B starlet and there has already been plenty of links with Stoke City apparently – but the Fail report that we have now stolen a march on them and put ourselves into the position of favourites.
The deal is a bit muddied as they say in Einsteinesque fashion that we are either talking about a permanent deal for the £7million rated player or a loan.
If a loan is what transpires, then they say a permanent deal would be in place but equally Barcelona would insist on a buy back clause in case he was to really progress with us over the season.
Whether this adds legs to the story or simply explains why it’s been thought up – he’s apparently represented by new signing Jose Angel Crespo’s agent.
Again this a player I know naff all about but the Mail say he’s been compared to Everton’s Gerard Deulofeu but Barcelona’s coaching staff have higher hopes for him based on his attitude and aptitude for listening and adapting in training.
Whilst being a Barcelona B, he has made his debut for the seniors aged 17 years old and he replaced Neymar in a four nil victory over Granada.
