With tonight’s FA Cup clash between Brighton and Crystal Palace seeing Video Assistant Referee technology get used for the first time in England in a competitive club match, it has now been confirmed that the technology will also feature in both League Cup semi finals between Chelsea and Arsenal as well as the EFL Cup Final itself at Wembley Stadium. Aston Villa striker Ross McCormack has been quoted as saying that Melbourne are in discussions with us over extending his loan spell out in Australia. Having been largely disastrous for Villa since arriving from Fulham for £12million (24 appearances, 3 goals) ‘Gate-Gate’ has seen him spend time with Nottingham Forest on a loan spell and this season he made the switch to Australia and Melbourne City.
