A collective sigh of relief after all the doom and gloom of the summer hearing that Xia has managed to bring in investors to take the controlling stake. It’s saved his bacon and more importantly, ours.
Disappointing only 2 billionaires taking us over. I was hoping for 3. #avfc pic.twitter.com/XVdrf2LgRI

Still, I guess we need to look at who the new owners are.
A great little video on Edens ideas on sports management in his ownership at the Bucks here: Nice piece here: https://t.co/QucOezTvTC #avfc

Good video that, nicely found by the twitter channel The Villa Wiki
Gregg from the Birmingham Mail had tweeted earlier the deal was about to be done with an Egyptian, as always I added my wisdom to his information

And just as I was typing away, Villa have done a five things on the owners, seems silly to repeat (me, being lazy? I resent your accusations) but it does make for good reading: https://www.avfc.co.uk/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nassef_Sawiris I have to say, although I’m not the best at maths (math for our American readers) he does look like he’s worth a penny or two.
And https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wes_Edens
Both have close ties to the sports industry which is a great thing to know. They obviously have intent, the due diligence was done quick smart, the bid lodged, the deal done. Some of these deals take weeks and even months.
And Wes has experience of co-owning a club, again, great news. As Wiki says Edens is a co-owner of the Milwaukee Bucks, a National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, along with Marc Lasry.
It is right to be excited by this, I know we have to remain realistic as we’ve been bitten twice now, but third time lucky perhaps? The 5 things on https://www.avfc.co.uk/ really does show these two are serious players. Very serious players. Look at the figures involved, the contacts they have, the experience they both bring. It’s actually, after a few months of massive worry, quite breathtaking.
And a few reactions from that there twittersphere
Proves the size and reputation of this great club. Took no time for investors to jump at the opportunity. And it's because if us, the fans.

I think you need to Guy, just for the short term, after all the doom. Give it a go. I nearly half smiled earlier (at my age got to be careful of wrinkles) and am planning sausages for tea. That's how excited I am, almost out of control !
