I’m not really sure how much stock we should put in this one, but Aston Villa are being linked with a potential deadline swoop for Derby County fullback Jayden Bogle.
There’s nothing really concrete in the original reports, but the 19-year-old right back does obviously tick a number of the boxes that you would expect head coach Dean Smith and Suso to be looking for in terms of development potential and although he had a mare at Wembley against Anwar El Ghazi in particular, he did make 50 appearances all in during the 2018/19 campaign, and it was his breakthrough year.
Reaction on social media was mixed, but I can certainly see the sense that any interest we had would maybe hinge on whether or not there’s any truth to the Ahmed Elmohamady and Newcastle United links (that finally came after we all expected them after Steve Bruce arrived at St James’ Park).
We’ll soon find out.
Think we are ok at right back for now to be honest but he is a young lad so maybe one for the future.

I wonder if Jordan Bogle is still having nightmares about @AElGhazi7 running at him. #utv #avfc

Seen us linked with Bogle today. Although we don’t need a rb, if it’s a good deal, then we should take it. Loan him back to Derby for the year. Great prospect.
