Aston Villa’s young charges travelled to Norfolk last night for the Premier League International Cup Group E tie against Norwich City.

Going into the game with one win and one loss so far in the tournament, victory would see us draw level with Norwich on points but we did need to win by a five goal margin to book our place in the knockout stage.

Sadly Villa couldn’t take victory and came out on the wrong end of a seven goal thriller with Norwich City mounting a fightback in the second half of the game as Villa did lead the encounter with a brace from Keinan Davies and Jerell Sellars finding himself on the scoresheet once more.

It means Villa finish third in the Group E table this year and Norwich did have Paul Jones and Matt Jarvis in their group as the two allowed overage players.

Yellows – Ray Grant.
