Monday’s might not have been what football was designed for, but that didn’t stop Millwall from making the trip to Villa Park for today’s early Championship kickoff against Aston Villa.

Head coach Dean Smith’s boys were going for a record breaking ten wins on the spin having equalled our 109 year record going back to 1910 in our last match against Bolton Wanderers and for those not interested in history, three points were up for grabs as we again battle for promotion via the Play-Off spots.

It was a game with few clear cut chances, but Jonathan Kodjia found the back of the net 30 minutes in to give us the advantage and it was deserved.

Given how the second half played out the only disappointment really was in not adding further goals to our tally as we did have the opportunities and the chances to do so, but a win is a win, it’s another three points and we’ve created history with ten straight wins on the spin.

The weather’s not too bad either!
