Reports in Portugal have linked us with a £26m move for Porto striker Moussa Marega.

Portuguese publication Correio da Manha says that we are among three English clubs who have registered an interest in signing the 27-year-old.

Wolves and West Ham are also said to be in the mix with Porto apparently willing to let the striker leave in the summer.

The Malian international is believed to have a release clause of €40m, but with the Portuguese league champions looking to free up funds, they have set an asking price of €30m (£26m).

Marega has scored 23 goals in 40 appearances this campaign, although he did fail to score in six Champions League games.

Our interest is almost certainly dependent on us being promoted to the Premier League with the additional revenue from TV rights in the top-flight allowing us to spend more freely in the transfer market.

A striker would likely be a priority this summer, with the club’s top scorer this season having been winger Albert Adomah.
