Upthevilla_83 is next for the Vital Villa interview.

1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?

I don`t think I had much choice, all family on my mom`s side are Villa, so just natural I guess

2) What is your favourite Villa moment of all time/most treasured memory?

Villa vs Blues, 5-1, the result was great but when Mellberg started to walk off the pitch, gets to the halfway line, turns and pumps his fists to the Holte, what a moment!!! The Holte went mental! Just shows that some players do love the club they play for…legend

3) If you could bring back a former Villa player into this team (at his peak) who would it be and why?

Gotta say ‘God` was something special or Yorkie, would have loved to see what Gary Shaw would be like in this team tho!

4) Paul Lambert? Your opinion please?

Backed him when he came in, wained slightly after the Wigan home game as we were dreadful but he turned things round and we started to play some good football and looks like he`s changing the whole mentality of the club. Proud history, bright future! and it`s just nice to not be involved in the managerial merry-go-round this summer for a change!

5) Best and worst moments of last season?

Hammering Sunderland 5-1 (the old man is one of them so he squirmed through that game in the Doug! Brilliant!) Having to watch us get outplayed by a league two side at Valley Parade, even the announcer was taking the mick!

6) Some say last season was a success, others not so much. What is your opinion?

‘You can`t make an omelet without breaking some eggs`, things take time and at times it was slow and painful to watch for all fans, but we had some highlights and we saw a great victory at Anfield, no fear against United at home (experience caught us out tho) and we showed bottle at the sharp end of the season when we needed too.

7) Your opinion of Randy Lerner and the board?

I think he`s improved the infrastructure of the club and behind the scenes, but I think his biggest mistake was leaving M`ON to his own devices which royally screwed us up, even though we can say we had some great times under him. Seems now we`re looking at long term success with stability under this manager (I hope) and develop the club in line with team success.

8) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?

I`d like to see an experienced center half, and I`ve heard good things of that Murphy who plays for Crewe who we have been linked with and fits in well with Lambert`s young and hungry policy

9) Which player/s should Villa get rid of this summer?

Given, Bent (unfortunately), Ireland

10) Favourite current player?

Westwood, Gabby, Weimann and of course the big guy Benteke!

11) Who was your first footballing hero and who are your favourite all time player/s?

First player I really remember was John Barnes in the late 80`s, fantastic player in his prime who glided past players! Others – Gazza, Platt, GOD, Saunders, Yorke, Bergkamp, Zola,

12) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?

Premier: Top 12
FA Cup: 4th Round
Carling: Quarter Finals

13) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?

Q.Why did we ever buy Eric Djemba-Djemba?

A. ermmmm???(……………..tumbleweed………………….scratches head….)

14) Just to change the theme slightly, a snap shot of you outside of football, answer or ignore at your leisure:
