1) When did you become a Villa fan and why?
Since birth – 1973 – I was Born in Kidderminster and my Grandfather was a Villa Fan. He got me my first ‘classic ‘ stripey bobble hat and scarf combo.
2) Alex McLeish? Your opinion please?
On the plus side I think he is a good man manager and will sort out our dressing room. I am however worried about the style of play we might adopt under him.
3) Best and worst moments of last season?
Too many worst moments!!! Liverpool, Man City away games.
Also letting it slip against Manure at home – Start of a decline when it could have been a springboard for a good run and a huge confidence boost for the young lads.
Best was winning at West Ham.
4) Your opinion of Randy Lerner?
I think he is fantastic. Without him we could be in all kinds of trouble. Just look at some of the other clubs and owners and the financial problems they have.
However, I know it is noble and wonderful to do things above board and properly
.. but I think he is a bit naïve. You can run Villa like a business on the business side
but on the football side we need someone savvy who has been in the game forever, has connections, and can network constantly and be in the loop on players etc. The manager used to do this but it seems we use Paul Faulkner, who is a business man and not a football man. Cloughie and Peter Taylor had a great team. We need somone to complement that.
5) Which player/s should Villa sign this summer?
Sounds to me like our transfer budget is going to be small and I am not expecting any big money signings unless more players leave. I reckon we will be using the young lads more.
However if the cash is there we need a creative midfielder – Kranjkar.
Would love Sturridge up front with Bent!!

6) Stewart Downing, if he really wants out, should Villa refuse to let him go or get shot? (ASKED BEFORE HE LEFT)
I would say R25 million is a fair price. Other clubs then take it or leave it.
If he stays I don’t think his head would go down. Especially as he wants to be in the England team for Euro 2012.

9) What do you expect us to do/finish this season?
Premier 10th
FA Cup: 6th round exit

10) You can ask yourself any question you want to about Villa and what is your answer?
Q. When will we win a trophy again?
A. Every season I believe it will happen. (please don’t through those cups again. Winning the Premier League is impossible at the moment so is our only hope of glory!!)
