With the January transfer window now edging to a close, Aston Villa saw another departure yesterday as young Louie Barry got a second shot to impress out on loan this season, signing a deal with League Two promotion pushers Swindon Town.
Good luck at Swindon, @LouieBarry6! π

The 18-year-old attacker spent the first half of the season with League One Ipswich Town, but with injury hitting early on, added to their struggles, his game time was very poor indeed – making only four starts, with two further showings from the substitutes bench.
We saw how well the County Ground outfit took care of Kaine Kesler-Hayden during his spell with them this season, so there’s every confidence Barry will thrive in his time with them, and following the arrival of Calum Chambers, there’s some talk we may re-loan KKH back out to them as well before the window ‘slams shut’.
With Swindon sat in seventh place in the table, but with a game or two in hand on a few of those above them, hopefully Barry will play his part in helping them secure a Play-Off spot by the end of the campaign…if not slightly more.
Hope they treat him better than Ipswich

Seems a shame they didn't get to keep Kesler too, understand that they wanted to look at him but can't see him getting much game time with the seniors, if any, especially with the Chambers signing.
