One Real Positive But Little Else For Villa To Shout About Today – Match Stats

|

With Aston Villa being somewhat busy on deadline day, all in, given the position we are in, we have to class the January transfer window as being a small success with some experience added, but fans would’ve been far happier had we made it count earlier today and picked up another three points against fellow strugglers Bournemouth.

You can’t help feel that this may be a result we look back on, but there are plenty of points left to battle for in 2019/20 and following his recent arrival, Mbwana Samatta opening his account for us late on as he grabbed the consolation will certainly do his confidence the world of good.

A poorer first half and a mad six minutes cost us really as they took a two goal advantage into the half time break, but having gone down to ten men many will feel we should’ve drawn level, but sometimes that easier to say than do, and ultimately they held out.

We remain outside of the dropzone but there will be few who are happy with that.

We won’t stay up I just can’t see it gerrish pulls his heart out while others could take a look at him,you would have thought a team by now should have bonded, and play better some games we do then it’s as if it’s to much for them,to keep going I have been a villa fan all my life and I am not impressed on how we play compared to other teams that haven’t spent 130 million plus I want us to be there not in the drop zone ,think some players need to step up to the club and play as if they need to ,you have to ask is it the players or the formation we play is the trouble and if we lose gerrish it will be hard to stay up ,I hope we do but there is some doubts about our ability at the moment ,I can remember the old days we were a great team and a hard place for teamed to come to us and get points from

      For a bit of balance.

      Who is Gerrish?

Who thought we’d be promoted last January?

What is £130m in today’s game against clubs 4 years ahead of us?
