Following our Play-Off Final promotion success against Derby County, Aston Villa leave the Championship and head back to the Premier League for the coming 2019/20 campaign and it means a massive summer of change on the playing staff and another one expected to depart is Alan Hutton.
Having been bombed and scapegoated at points, he’s out lasted more managers than it seemed wanted to get rid of him, and plenty of fans have always loved his full blooded approach to the game. Taking a pay cut to extend his time with us was also roundly well received the other year but this summer it appears time is up.
Taking to his Instagram account the other day, Hutton offered.
Whilst his departure hasn’t been confirmed yet, he’s not the only one we know will be off when deals expire this summer but reaction from the fans was what you’d expect given his years of service. He leaves as one of us.
